Inside a Software Company: How Real Products Are Built SkillKernel conducted an industry-oriented workshop at Sarvodaya College to help students understand how real software products are planned, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained in a professional software company. The workshop covered the complete software development journey, starting from requirement analysis and project planning to task breakdown, sprint planning, UI/UX design, frontend development, backend development, database and API development, QA testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous maintenance. Students were introduced to different technical domains including UI/UX Design, Frontend Development, Backend Development, Mobile App Development, QA Testing, and DevOps. The session also explained professional practices such as Git & GitHub workflow, team collaboration, code reviews, documentation, client communication, and continuous improvement. The workshop focused on bridging the gap between academic projects and industry-level product development, helping students understand what companies expect from developers and how different teams work together to build real-world products. Students also learned about live projects, industry-oriented training, deployment experience, portfolio building, interview preparation, and mentorship opportunities through SkillKernel.
